About Us

Grace Farm Organics is a small family run business located in Lynn, MA with a philosophy of “creating natural and organic soap & skincare products with your good health in mind.”   Our adventures into soap making started several years ago with a visit to the Copley Farmer’s Market in Boston where Deb purchased her first bar of handcrafted lavender soap.  It was love at first shower and when this wonderful new soap bar was close to being gone, Deb went straight back to the market for another.  Purchasing soap from the market wasn’t enough for Deb, she needed to know what made this soap so different from the bars she had been purchasing at the supermarket and so started her research and adventures into creative alchemy.

Our research not only provided the base for our soap making but it opened a whole avenue of knowledge into what dangers lie in many of the ingredients you find in common soap and skincare products sold widely in the US.  It is hard to believe, even though the skin absorbs up to 60% of what we put on it, skincare ingredients are not regulated in the US.  Many of the large manufactures sacrifice your safety in a quest for cheap ingredients with known connections to health problems.  One more little fact, there are multitudes of ingredients in products available in the US that are outlawed in Europe or Japan.

Over the years, Deb has expanded her knowledge base to encompass the healthful benefits of herbs, botanicals and essential oils all of which are incorporated into Grace Farm’s product line.   Along with being a legally licensed business and carrying appropriate liability insurance, Grace Farm Organics is a proud member of the Hand Crafted Soap Guild and a signer of the Alliance for Safe Cosmetics.

We are proud to clearly state all of our ingredients on our labels, if an ingredient is available as a Fair Trade Product and in an Organic form that is what we will use.   You will never find petroleum by-products, Isopropyl, formaldehydes, sulfates, parabens, propylene glycol, FD&C color pigments and any other ingredient that is suspected of causing harm to man or our environment.

We do use fragrance in several of our soaps and body products.   Unfortunately, several species of natural scent creating ingredients are being over farmed and are approaching extinction, Sandalwood is a perfect example.  We have found a very trusted supplier of the best fragrance oils and use these fragrances on a limited basis.

We strive to use minimal packaging and all of our packaging is Made in the USA from recycled products of recyclable materials..  Our soap boxes and shopping bags are made from recycled paper.  We are in the process of transitioning our plastic bottles to glass where practical and we are shifting from plastic lids to aluminum with the hopes of making a much small impact on the environment.

Finally, we are open to and welcome your suggestions.  Do you have an idea of how we can further lessen our environmental impact?  Do you have a suggestion for a product or an ingredient that will bring benefits?  Don’t be shy, we are open to your suggestions.
